Biography

Jacobus Albertus Rodbard was a respected Dutch ship captain whose maritime career exemplified the seafaring traditions of the Netherlands. Born in 1889, Rodbard spent much of his life navigating the waters that connected Dutch commerce to the wider world.

As a ship captain, Rodbard earned recognition for his seamanship and leadership at sea. He concluded his life in 1960 and was interred in The Hague's Westduin General Cemetery, a fitting tribute to his years of service in the maritime profession.
