Biography

James William Nugent Gordon, raised in an Irish household shaped by patriotism, enlisted in the Royal Irish Rifles with the determination to defend his countrymen and comrades.

Serving in the brutal trenches of Flanders he shared in the hardships of 1915, and he paid the ultimate price that year; he now rests alongside his fellows in the Royal Irish Rifles Graveyard at Laventie.
