Biography

Nelson Victor Carter was born in 1887 and served in the Royal Irish Rifles, a regiment with a distinguished military heritage. He devoted himself to military service during a crucial period in world history.

Carter made the ultimate sacrifice in 1916, giving his life in service to his country. He was laid to rest in the Royal Irish Rifles Graveyard in Laventie, where his memory is preserved among his comrades.
