Biography
Jan van der Sloot was born in 1911, and contemporaries recall a thoughtful man devoted to his community. When war arrived, he stepped forward to shield others with quiet determination.
Van der Sloot became part of the resistance, supporting covert efforts that resisted oppression and helped sustain hope. Captured in 1944, he was executed and now lies in the Dutch Honorary Cemetery Bloemendaal, where visitors remember the depth of his sacrifice.
