Biography

Jason Lee was a dedicated missionary who brought Christian faith and education to the Pacific Northwest during the early nineteenth century. Born in 1803, he established the Lee Mission and worked tirelessly to serve Native American communities and settlers in the Oregon Territory, leaving a lasting legacy of spiritual and educational work.

His life was cut short in 1845, but his missionary endeavors had already profoundly influenced the region. He was buried at Lee Mission Cemetery, a fitting final resting place that bears his name and honors his lifelong commitment to missionary work and community service in the American West.
