Biography
Jean Chrétien Baud, born in 1919, stepped into adulthood amid the turmoil of occupation and responded by joining the ranks of the Dutch resistance. In The Hague he worked alongside others to protect his fellow citizens and oppose the injustices of war.
He died in 1944, remembered for the courage with which he met danger and for the compassion he showed to those in need. His burial at Westduin General Cemetery keeps alive the memory of a life dedicated to freedom.
