Biography

John Adams Dix, born in 1798, gained recognition as a public servant and defender of the Union whose leadership left an indelible mark on the nation and the congregation of Trinity Church.

After his death in 1879, admirers honored him for the fairness and resolve he brought to every office he held, cherishing his memory near Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum.
