John E. Kehl was a dependable citizen of Cincinnati, a man who navigated changing times with integrity and an eye toward serving his neighbors. He brought steady leadership to whatever enterprise or civic effort he embraced, and younger colleagues often sought his calm counsel.

Even after retirement he remained engaged with community projects and family gatherings, never losing his devotion to the city he loved, and now lies peacefully at Spring Grove Cemetery.
