Biography

John Maunsell Bradhurst was a member of a well-known New York family whose life spanned the early republic into the 1860s, and he used the resources of his household to support churches and charitable causes around the city.

Whether hosting gatherings of friends or quietly offering counsel to neighbors, he carried himself with civility and a sense of duty to the community; his service is commemorated at Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum.
