Biography

John Owen Dominis (1832–1891) served as governor of Oʻahu and royal consort to Queen Liliʻuokalani, managing royal lands and representing the Hawaiian Kingdom during a time of growing international pressure.

He was laid to rest in the Royal Mausoleum of Hawaii, close to the royal family he served for so many years.
