Biography

Joseph Mackey Brown (1851–1932), who rests in Oakland Cemetery, guided Georgia through years of change while serving as governor and as a dedicated public servant, working to modernize state infrastructure and supporting agricultural improvements that helped rural communities adapt to new economic realities.
