Biography

Joseph Putnam Bradlee practiced architecture with a reverence for proportion and civic dignity, contributing designs that blended the Federal style with emerging Greek Revival tastes.

He collaborated with builders and patrons to create both private homes and public spaces, leaving behind a body of work that, like the paths of Mount Auburn Cemetery, continues to suggest order and grace.
