Biography

Kálmán Vásárhelyi (1891–1919) was a Hungarian sailor whose brief life was marked by service at sea during a turbulent period in European history. His maritime career reflected Hungary's connection to waterborne commerce and naval tradition during the early 20th century.

Vásárhelyi's life was cut short in 1919, a year of significant upheaval in Hungary following the end of World War I. He was buried in Makó, his final resting place serving as a memorial to those who served Hungary during this transformative era.
