Biography

Katherine Brown (1769–1830) was a woman of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries whose life reflected the experiences of her era. Interred at the historic Granary Burying Ground in Boston, she represents the many individuals who contributed to the fabric of early American society.

Brown's life spanned the American Revolution and the formative years of the new nation. Though limited records remain of her personal accomplishments, her place in history is marked by her presence during one of America's most transformative periods.
