Kōnia

Biography

Kōnia (1808–1857) was a Hawaiian chief whose leadership and family connections positioned him among the influential figures of the Hawaiian kingdom during the nineteenth century.

His life and service reflected the responsibilities and complexities of Hawaiian chiefly rank during an era of significant historical transition. He was laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum of Hawaii.
