Biography

General Lew Allen guided the U.S. Air Force through a period of technological growth as chief of staff and earlier as director of the National Security Agency, overseeing advances in intelligence, space, and surveillance systems.

He promoted collaboration across the defense and intelligence communities and now lies at Arlington National Cemetery in appreciation for his lifetime of leadership.
