Manning Force

Biography

Manning Force (1824-1899) devoted much of his life to military service, rising through the ranks with a firm commitment to his fellow soldiers and to the defense of the Union.

He was admired for the steady leadership he displayed in garrison duty and in the care he showed to the men under his command, and he was laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery with honors befitting his long career.
