Biography

Martha Bridge was born in 1768 and lived through the Revolutionary era and the establishment of the American republic. Her lifetime encompassed the nation's earliest decades and witnessed the development of American institutions and society.

Bridge lived to the age of 84, passing away in 1852. She was interred at Mount Auburn Cemetery, where her memory is preserved among the many notable figures of New England's history.
