Owen Rand Kenan, planter of Kenansville, shepherded his family’s agricultural endeavors across generations, striving to steward the land responsibly while providing leadership within his community.

He remained a familiar presence in Duplin County until his passing in 1887, and his grave there keeps alive the story of a life tied closely to the Carolina soil.
