Peter Sharpe

Biography

Peter Sharpe, born in 1777, witnessed the early growth of the United States and the emergence of a new era for his fellow citizens. Throughout his life he stood as a calm and dependable presence, keeping the cherished values of community and responsibility close at hand.

He was laid to rest in Green-Wood Cemetery after his passing in 1842, where visitors can still pause to reflect on the steady foundation he helped build.
