Biography
Ralph MacDonald drew from the percussion traditions of his Caribbean heritage to become one of the most in-demand rhythm voices in popular music, lending his congas, steel pans, and tambourines to sessions across jazz, soul, and pop.
Away from the studio, he co-wrote enduring songs such as "Where Is the Love" and "Just the Two of Us," crafting melodies and grooves that continue to bridge R&B and jazz while inspiring drummers and songwriters.
