Rebecca Winchester

Biography

Rebecca Winchester came of age during the Revolutionary War era and lived through the formative decades of the American nation. She was part of the Portsmouth community and contributed to the social fabric of her time.

Rebecca's memory is preserved at Old Saint Paul's Cemetery, where she was interred in 1812. Her life, spanning from 1785 to 1812, represents a generation that grew up in the newly independent United States.
