Robert Hoke

Biography

Robert Hoke earned lasting renown as a military leader whose steady presence inspired the men he commanded, and after the war he turned that same energy to helping rebuild railroads and foster economic growth for North Carolina.

He is remembered for guiding the state through recovery and is interred at Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
