Reverend Samuel D. Finkle served as pastor of Concordia Church, assuming the pulpit on December 27, 1846. He was a dedicated leader of the Lutheran faith community during a formative period of the congregation's history.
Reverend Finkle's most notable contribution to the region was his leadership in the dedication ceremony of Prospect Hill Cemetery in 1858, an event that marked the establishment of this important burial ground and community landmark.
