Biography

Samuel Kosciuszko Zook was a Union general who distinguished himself through his military leadership during the American Civil War. Born in 1821, he rose through the ranks and earned recognition for his tactical abilities and courage in battle.

Zook's military career culminated in significant service during the nation's greatest conflict. He was killed in action in 1863 at the age of 42, remembered as a dedicated officer who gave his life in service to his country.
