Sarah Todd was born in 1761 and lived through the American Revolution and the founding of the nation. Her life spanned seven decades of American history, witnessing the transformation of thirteen colonies into a growing republic.

Sarah passed away in 1832 and was laid to rest at Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum, her life a testament to the enduring presence of women in American communities during the nation's formative years.
