Biography

Admiral Stansfield Turner dedicated decades to the U.S. Navy before becoming Director of Central Intelligence, where he guided the agency through a time of modernization while emphasizing accountability and analytical rigor.

Even after returning to civilian life, he continued to teach and write about leadership and the importance of public service, leaving a strong moral compass for others, now remembered at the United States Naval Academy Cemetery.
