Biography

Charles W. Flusser was a distinguished naval officer who served his country with honor during the American Civil War. Born in 1832, he pursued a military career and was commissioned through the United States Naval Academy, dedicating himself to naval service during one of the nation's most challenging periods.

Commander Flusser made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, dying in service in 1864 at the age of thirty-two. He was honored with burial at the United States Naval Academy Cemetery, a fitting tribute to his military service and patriotic devotion.
