Sybil Kane

Biography

Sybil Kane was born in 1738 and became part of the fabric of Albany's social and family networks during the late colonial and early American periods. Her life spanned a transformative era in American history, from the final years of British rule through the establishment of the new nation.

Sybil Kane maintained her residence in Albany throughout her life, where she was known to her community. She passed away in 1806 and was interred in Albany Rural Cemetery, where her memory remains among those of her contemporaries.
