Telesfor Banaszkiewicz was a Polish economist whose intellectual contributions reflected the academic and professional expertise valued in interwar Poland. His work in economics represented the scholarly traditions of Polish intellectual life.
Banaszkiewicz's promising career was ended by the Katyn massacre during World War II. He is commemorated at the Katyn Polish War Cemetery, where his memory preserves the loss of Poland's educated elite during this devastating period.
