Biography

Timothy P. Andrews served with distinction in the Union Army during the American Civil War, rising to the rank of general. Following his military career, he was appointed Paymaster-General of the United States Army, a position of significant responsibility overseeing the financial operations of the armed forces. His service spanned a critical period in American history, from the antebellum era through the Reconstruction period.
