Biography

Utsubo Kubota (1877–1967) was a Japanese writer whose literary contributions enriched Japanese cultural and intellectual life. His works reflected the concerns and sensibilities of the early twentieth-century Japanese literary world.

Kubota's career as a writer extended across several decades of significant cultural change in Japan. He was laid to rest at Zōshigaya Cemetery, a burial ground that honors many prominent figures in Japanese arts and letters.
