Biography
Vernon E. Megee rose through the ranks of the United States Marine Corps with steadfast resolve, answering calls to duty across some of the most challenging theaters of the twentieth century. His leadership exemplified the Corps’ highest ideals during conflicts that demanded both tactical skill and compassionate stewardship of the young men with whom he served.
Even in retirement, Megee remained a trusted symbol of dedication, counseling younger Marines and supporting the community of veterans he loved so dearly.
