William Barstow Strong

Biography

William Barstow Strong was born in 1837 and rose to prominence as a railroad executive whose leadership helped guide the expansion of rail lines that knit distant communities together.

He died in 1914 and left a legacy of industriousness and forward-looking service, a legacy remembered by those who now honor him at Oakwood Cemetery.
