Biography

Buenaventura Sitjar brought the Franciscan mission at San Antonio de Padua to life, tending to the spiritual needs of the indigenous peoples while recording their language and customs for future generations.

He spent decades guiding the fathers and families there with patience and prayer until his death in 1808, leaving a legacy of cultural respect preserved in the mission grounds.
