Biography
Charles T. Gulick (1841-1897) represented another generation of the Gulick family in service to Hawaii, counseling monarchs, serving in government, and bridging Hawaiian traditions with emerging American institutions. His legal mind and gentle diplomacy soothed tensions and encouraged mutual respect.
He also supported schools and charitable initiatives, and his name is cherished by many who note his resting place at Oʻahu Cemetery.
