David Whitmer

Biography

David Whitmer (1805–1888) is remembered as one of the Three Witnesses of the Book of Mormon and as a neighbor of Richmond, Missouri, where he bore quiet testimony of the events he witnessed in his youth.

In later years he welcomed visitors to his Richmond home, wrote recollections, and supported the local community; he is now laid to rest in Richmond Cemetery.
