Biography

Earle Haas put his training as a pharmacist to work when he imagined a new approach to women's comfort, patenting the first commercial tampon with an applicator and laying the groundwork for Tampax.

He remained devoted to improving everyday life for women, and his inventive spirit is remembered with gratitude at Crown Hill Cemetery.
