Biography
Ezekiel Hayes was a landowner of prominence in Connecticut whose life extended from the mid-eighteenth century into the early nineteenth century. His property holdings and community involvement marked him as a person of substance during a transformative era in American history.
Hayes lived to the age of seventy-five, witnessing the Revolutionary War and the establishment of the new American republic. His interment at Grove Street Cemetery acknowledges his standing among Connecticut's landed gentry.
