George Corbin Washington

Biography

George Corbin Washington was a planter and landowner who lived during the early nineteenth century. As a member of the planter class, he was involved in the agricultural economy that characterized much of the American South during his lifetime.

Washington's life and work were part of the broader historical narrative of his era. He was laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, where he is remembered as part of the generations that built American society.
