Biography
H. Winnett Orr devoted his practice to advancing the healing arts and to caring for patients with compassion and skill. As a physician he combined scientific rigor with a gentle presence, earning deep appreciation from colleagues and the many families whose lives flourished under his care.
His belief in the dignity of every patient echoed in the decades he served, leaving an impression of quiet kindness that endures among those who remember him. Arlington National Cemetery now holds him among other healers and public servants who gave of themselves in the service of others.
