Biography

Isaac Littell established himself as a thoughtful and disciplined officer dedicated to sustaining the United States Army through the complex campaigns of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His logistical acumen ensured that troops were well supplied during the Spanish-American War, the Philippine insurrection, and the growing responsibilities of the nation abroad.

Later in his career, Littell oversaw depot operations, mentored quartermaster officers, and helped institutionalize the practices that would support American forces during World War I and beyond, leaving behind a legacy of readiness and service honored at Arlington.
