Family and friends counted on her for both forthright advice and a ready smile, and she met each new generation with delight as they entered her extended circle.

She loved a lively kitchen, a favorite hymn, and the company of those who gathered around her table, and in her later years she kept up the rhythms of service that had defined her life. She is laid to rest at Metairie Cemetery, where loved ones continue to honor her patient spirit.
