John Henni

Biography

Bishop John Henni (1805-1881) was a visionary leader who guided the faithful with intelligence and warmth, founding parishes and schools that anchored the growing diocese. His leadership forged a legacy of welcome and learning that nurtured generations of families.

He now rests in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Crypt, where pilgrims continue to honor the foundations he laid for the local Church.
