Biography

Kamānele was a member of Hawaiian nobility who lived during the early 19th century, from 1814 to 1834. He represented the aristocratic traditions of the Hawaiian Islands during a period of significant cultural and political transition.

Though his life was relatively brief, Kamānele's noble status and family connections were significant to Hawaiian society. He was interred at the Royal Mausoleum of Hawaii, where he rests among other members of the Hawaiian royal and noble families.
