Biography

Robert Gamble Cabell II was born in 1847 into a family whose name was woven through the history of the region, and he honored those roots with dignity and a generous spirit. He kept family stories alive while looking for quiet ways to serve the city he called home.

His passing in 1922 prompted tributes to the way he celebrated those close to him, and he now rests in Hollywood Cemetery, among the generations of Cabells who remember him fondly.
