Biography

Robert Michael White was a pioneering U.S. Air Force test pilot who flew experimental aircraft, including rocket-powered planes that probed the edge of space and produced vital data for the aerospace community.

As a major general he inspired generations of aviators with his calm leadership, and he now rests at Arlington National Cemetery.
