Robert Ould

Biography

Born in 1820, Robert Ould studied law and became a respected attorney, later representing the Confederate government in complex negotiations and prisoner exchanges during the Civil War.

After that conflict ended he returned to private practice, seeking to help reconcile his community with the broader nation, and he was interred at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
