Biography

Rodney Yano was a dedicated soldier whose valor in Vietnam earned him the Medal of Honor for sacrificing himself to save his comrades when a grenade detonated near his ammunition-laden vehicle.

His steadfast courage continues to inspire visitors to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, where fellow service members pay respects to the Marine who died ensuring others survived.
