Biography
Samuel Gore (1751–1831) was a Boston-area resident whose life extended from the mid-eighteenth century through the early decades of American independence. His long life allowed him to witness the birth of the nation and its early development as a republic.
Gore's burial at the Granary Burying Ground, one of Boston's most historic cemeteries, reflects his place in the community. His eighty-year lifespan encompassed the colonial period, the Revolutionary War, and the establishment of the United States Constitution.
